We Are Here To Help!
Will this help with constipation or diarrhoea?
Most of our customers use Gut Prebiotics to support regularity and relieve constipation. But it's also gentle enough for those dealing with IBS, loose stools, or unpredictable digestion — and we have positive reviews from both types of customers.
Unlike harsh fibres, our prebiotic fibre supports optimal gut transit time — meaning regular, comfortable digestion without cramping, bloating, or urgency. It also feeds your gut's beneficial bacteria and helps balance your gut microbiome.
Can I take it if I have IBS or a sensitive gut?
Absolutely. Gut Prebiotics is certified low FODMAP by Monash University — one of the most trusted digestive health certifications in the world — and is specifically studied for people with IBS and sensitive digestive systems.
In clinical research, this prebiotic fibre has been shown to support regularity without triggering the gas, bloating, or urgency that most fibres cause in IBS sufferers. It ferments slowly and gently — which is exactly why sensitive guts respond so well to it.
Most people with IBS find it well tolerated from the very first week. We recommend starting with a small dose and building up gradually for the most comfortable experience.
How does this compare to psyllium husk or Metamucil?
Most people who've tried Metamucil or psyllium husk have experienced it — bloating, gluey texture, urgency at the wrong moment. That's because psyllium ferments quickly and thickens in your gut.
Our prebiotic fibre is different. It ferments slowly and gently, producing short-chain fatty acids that nourish your gut lining without the gas, bloating, or urgency. It's fully soluble, completely tasteless, doesn't thicken your drink, and is certified low FODMAP — making it far better tolerated, especially for IBS and sensitive digestive systems.
Unlike psyllium which just pushes things through, ours actually normalises your bowel rhythm — helping with both constipation AND loose stools. It's also made with certified organic, glyphosate-free ingredients — so you know exactly what you're putting in your body.
The result? A fibre you'll actually want to take every day.
How is this different from other fibre supplements?
Most fibre supplements are either too harsh or too weak — and most don't tell you what grade of ingredient they're using or where it comes from.
Ours is different:
- Made with certified organic, glyphosate-free prebiotic fibre — the same specific grade cited in human clinical studies — designed to work without the gas, urgency, or bloating other fibres cause
- Regulates transit time rather than just pushing things through — normalising your bowel rhythm, not forcing a movement. Helps with both constipation AND loose stools
- Actively feeds your gut's beneficial bacteria, producing short-chain fatty acids that nourish your gut lining and support long-term gut health. Most fibre supplements don't.
- Completely tasteless and dissolves easily — so you'll actually take it every day
- Certified low FODMAP by Monash University — one of the only fibre supplements suitable for IBS and sensitive digestive systems
How do I use it?
Mix 2 heaped teaspoons (6g) into 300ml of water and stir for 30 seconds. Completely tasteless — add it to water, coffee, smoothies, yoghurt, or cereal.
Start with ½ a teaspoon for the first 2–3 days to let your gut adjust, then increase gradually to 2 teaspoons. Most people prefer taking it first thing in the morning but any time of day works.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Everyone's gut is different, but here's what many of our customers experience:
Days 1–7: Bloating may start to ease as your gut adjusts
Weeks 1–2: Bowel movements often become more regular and comfortable
Weeks 2–4: Digestion starts to feel more predictable and settled
Beyond 4 weeks: Ongoing gut bacteria and gut lining support continues to build
Some people notice changes within a few days. Others need 2–4 weeks of consistent daily use to feel the full benefit. Either way, consistency is everything — Gut Prebiotics works best taken daily, not just when things feel off.
If you're not noticing improvement after 4 weeks, reach out to us — we're here to help you find the right approach.
What if Gut Prebiotics alone isn't enough?
For most people — especially those with hard or dry stools — Gut Prebiotics alone works very well. Many customers with slow, infrequent movements also find significant improvement with Gut Prebiotics alone, particularly after consistent use over 2–4 weeks.
However if you're going every 3–4 days and Gut Prebiotics alone hasn't fully resolved things after a few weeks, adding our Magnesium Citrate is a natural next step. Magnesium Citrate supports bowel movement frequency and rhythm, while Gut Prebiotics prevents stool from drying out along the way — together they address both sides of the slow transit pattern.

Can I take this with other supplements or medications?
Yes, it's generally safe to take Gut Prebiotics alongside other supplements, including collagen. If you're taking mineral supplements like calcium, iron, or magnesium, space them out by a couple of hours to optimise absorption.
If you take medications, simply take Gut Prebiotics 2 hours apart from them as a general precaution — this ensures optimal absorption of both.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Gut Prebiotics contains one simple, natural ingredient — a plant-based prebiotic fibre with no additives, stimulants, or harsh compounds. Many of our customers take it throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding and find it particularly helpful for the digestive changes that come with both.
As with any supplement during pregnancy or breastfeeding, we recommend checking with your healthcare professional first — not because we have concerns about the formula, but because every pregnancy is different and your doctor knows your full picture.
Is it low FODMAP?
Yes — certified low FODMAP by Monash University, making it one of the only prebiotic fibres suitable for people following a low FODMAP diet or with diagnosed digestive sensitivities.
Do you include probiotics in your formula?
No — and here's why that's actually a good thing.
Gut Prebiotics focuses on nourishing the beneficial bacteria already living in your gut. Most probiotics don't survive stomach acid long enough to reach your intestines in a viable state — meaning you may be paying for bacteria that never actually get where they need to go.
If you do want probiotic support alongside this, we've formulated two complementary products: Gut360 (for general digestive and regularity support) and Gut Restore+ (for occasional digestive upset). Both use clinically proven strains, carefully encapsulated to survive stomach acid and reach your intestines effectively.
What are short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), and why do they matter?
When our prebiotic fibre ferments in your gut it produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) — compounds that maintain a healthy gut lining, reduce inflammation, and support a balanced microbiome. SCFAs also play a crucial role in enhancing digestion and improving regularity. This is why consistent daily use has such a lasting positive impact on your digestion.
